Job description
Travelcamp is looking for experienced flat rate RV Technicians for their Summerfield location. Applicants must have a good understanding of how to diagnose, write-up, and repair issues in new and used RVs. Potential candidates should have knowledge in a variety of areas pertaining to gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, towing systems, generators, appliances, carpentry, and interior components.
** ALL Techs get equal internal, retail and warranty work!! **
**Our average technician turns 50-60 hours a week consistently**
*Please note, all applicants must have their own hand tools.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide and document complete diagnostic testing and repair or replacement services to customers
- Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or appliance maintenance
- Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
- Keep supervisor appraised of work progress
- Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
- Work face to face with customers to perform training tutorials on new RV purchases and hitches
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Essential Job Skills:
- Certification from college or technical school in trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is certainly helpful but, we also consider applicable work experience
- Minimum 1-year service technician experience preferred
- RVIA certification helpful but not required
- May lift, up to 25 lbs. and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistance
- Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
- Possible exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness
- Upon hire, technicians must furnish own hand/shop tools
- Have a current Valid driver's license
- Onan Certified a big plus
