Job Category Technology Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. Salary Range $97,100.00 - $160,200.00 Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? The Cloud Security Engineering team within Infrastructure and Cloud Services organization, is seeking a Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst who will have responsibility for the development of automation security monitoring, alerting, and remediation solutions. Leveraging cloud toolsets such as Terraform Modules, Sentinel Policies, and other remediation and automation tools. The position will also include conducting security reviews of new cloud service offerings, establishing secure configurations which includes operationalizing and testing of these new business driven services. Additional functions to be performed include providing consulting services around selection and configuration of new SaaS products and/or cloud-based applications or services. What Will You Do? Support/Develop existing and new automation capabilities to support the Cloud Security program at Travelers Development of automation security monitoring, alerting, and remediation solutions Participate in Security and enterprise projects as assigned. Administer AWS, Azure, and GCP technologies Perform security reviews of new cloud service offerings Provide hands-on help in supporting the Public Cloud teams with their target platform-specific project needs Ability to analyze the current Application architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvement Understand how to best manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines and controls Independently analyze and resolve problems of medium to high complexity. Configure, test, document and implement new or upgrades to security processes, controls or products as directed. Provide operational support, trouble shooting and maintenance of major Security related processes, controls or products. Analyze, configure, test, document and implement upgrades to security processes, controls or products. Designs, develops, and builds new Cybersecurity processes. Recommends changes to area procedures and products. Implements own recommendations with management review. Recognizes, analyzes patterns, and responds to security events and escalates to management. Consults with business peers to analyze, support, and resolve Cybersecurity events. Participate in Security and enterprise projects as assigned. Act as a security representative at design and new technology meetings. Provides guidance to more junior employees. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? AWS (3-5 Years experience) Google Cloud Platform Azure Experience with CSPM toolset (Cloud Security Posture Management) 3-5 Years of Programming/development skills (preferably Python) GitHub Kubernetes (GKE) Experience with CSPM toolset (Cloud Security Posture Management). Ex: Wiz.IO and Palo Alto Prisma Cloud Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline preferred. Seven years of relevant experience with Cybersecurity practices, processes, and Cybersecurity event investigation/resolution preferred. Broad knowledge of all IT related technologies with subject matter expertise in IT Security related technology and business exposures impacting organizational vitality preferred. Problem Solving: Demonstrates sound analytic and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are loosely defined and/or conflict with available information. Knows where to obtain information needed to make the appropriate decisions. Breaks a problem down to manageable pieces and implements effective, timely solutions. Planning and Project Management: Develops operational plans and provides resource estimation for task planning. Proposes plans of action that are timely, realistic, and positive. Sets appropriate goals for projects and monitors progress against the plan. What is a Must Have? High school diploma or equivalent required.
