Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$106,000.00 - $174,900.00

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for identifying, assessing and establishing mitigation strategies within a business and across the enterprise. Partnering and maintaining strong working relationship with key constituents (i.e.; IT risk management, security, business continuity, enterprise risk management, corporate audit, compliance, business continuity, and information systems security) while driving solutions to reduce risk. This position works with the IT Risk Management core team to develop and maintain metrics, track and monitor ITRM and Corporate Audit Risk issues, execute the ITRM methodology including IT Risk Management profiling and analysis. What Will You Do?
- Work under the direction of the Business Information Security Officer (BISO), as his/her representative(s), to understand and respond to key cybersecurity requirements where the Cybersecurity organization should play a role in conceptualizing, creating and managing cybersecurity services to the business unit.
- Support the engagement, at least monthly, with the Line of Business Chief Information Officer (CIO), Tech Senior Leaders, Risk Management and other Cybersecurity professionals to adopt consistent cybersecurity practices at the business level, advise on cyber security risks, and drive risk mitigation via cybersecurity reporting.
- Under the oversight of the BISO, provide advisory and consultative cybersecurity services to technology and business leaders in a highly matrixed environment with numerous partners.
- Seek to understand Line of Business objectives and strategy and participate in the development of Enterprise cybersecurity strategy to articulate these objectives.
- Proactively learn how to educate and guide across the Line of Business with the goal of developing a risk-driven decision-making mindset.
- Learn how to enable the protection of critical assets through alignment and prioritization of cybersecurity investments.
- Learn how to continuously enhance information security defense, minimize vulnerabilities, and strengthen business resilience through direct, proactive engagement.
- Understand how to support risk mitigations with internal audit, vendor and supplier risk as it pertains to cybersecurity.
- Collaborate across full BISO team and Cybersecurity SLT, partnering on guidance development, comprehending strategic recommendations to align, standardize and optimize cybersecurity within all Lines of Business.
- Participate in the development and help facilitate the enablement the implementation of policies and procedures for cybersecurity risk and compliance.
- Support the BISO in the completion of cyber risk analysis sessions and risk assessment activity within and between the lines of business and/or enterprise.
- Support the assessment of and communication of risks, drive risk remediation and facilitate the acceptance of risk aligned with Travelers' risk appetite.
- Under the direction of the BISO, advise the accountable parties in determining the appropriate treatment of identified cybersecurity risks and partner with LOB and/or enterprise risk leaders to develop audit and risk mitigation plans.
- Work with BISO to translate LOB cybersecurity processes or specific requirements that can be incorporated into the Enterprise Cybersecurity strategy and budget.
- Support the education and awareness of LOB personnel across cybersecurity principles, concepts and methodologies.
- Attend required cybersecurity training sessions.
- Responsible for helping LOB achieving compliance. understanding and applying policies, standards and procedures across the tech environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- One - three years of experience in Tech Risk Management or related fields such as Audit, IT Security, or Business Continuity preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Technology or a related field preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Intermediate
- Technical aptitude to comprehend complex issues around business continuity, security, and overall risk in IT.

What is a Must Have?
- One to three years of Technology experience required.
- One year of Tech Risk Management experience required.
