Overview

TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a globally known energy efficiency and utility services consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, demand response, renewable energy, and green building programs in multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country's most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.

TRC is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the operations vertical for our portfolio of residential and commercial electric energy efficiency and demand response solutions in Oklahoma. The portfolio of programs will deliver education and opportunities to earn financial incentives for participating residents and businesses who purchase high-efficiency products and equipment and enroll in programs to manage their energy use. They will be overseeing the operations team, who are collectively responsible for receiving incentive applications and ushering them through internal review and processes by way of a proprietary Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tracking system. These efforts will be executed while communicating by phone or email with Trade Allies (TAs) and customers to seek additional information about a project, educate about available programs, and update applicants about their incentive status. The Operations Manager will be responsible for communicating updates to relevant stakeholders at each phase, remove barriers as needed, and support each project from initiation to completion.

The ideal candidate will be an independent detail-oriented leader with a positive attitude and who is excellent at multi-tasking while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication with solid customer service and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report program key performance metrics and provide updates to management and the client.
  • Facilitate lessons learned and process improvement meeting within the operations vertical to promote best practices and work through challenges as a team. Independently manage workload and prioritize critical tasks.
  • Resolve any barriers that arises for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project cycle.
  • Be accountable for the projects that are assigned and notify management team if there are any delays or discrepancies to the process.
  • Mastery of Customer Relationship Management system and provide input for enhancements or troubleshooting.
  • Work with program team to actively manage multiple projects through the entire lifecycle in various stages.
  • Create process manuals, training tools, and program documentation.
  • Support end-user customers in understanding, completing, and submitting required project paperwork and including relevant supporting documentation.
  • Review and verify incoming project submittals on a regular basis to determine eligibility and request missing information as needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, utilizing excellent communication skills and positive attitude to work with detailed requests from customers, client staff, and internal team members.
  • Support outreach, technical, and other cross functional teams as needed through reporting, research, information follow-up, end-user customer training, etc.
  • Ensure incentives are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Residency in Oklahoma.
  • Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR 9 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (i.e. outlook, word, excel, teams, sharepoint)
  • Experience using a CRM or similar system to effectively track customer and/or project details.
  • Experience communicating with cross-functional teams or different departments.
  • Ability to travel within the state of Oklahoma.

  • Self-driven and a team player with established critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills that include highly effective communication in-person, over email, and over the phone.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team and customers.
  • Attention-to-detail to ensure project submittals meet the clients' criteria for eligibility and completeness.
  • Experience working with a CRM system to manage data and create reports.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with low to no margin of error.
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to monitor and manage project progress.
  • Ability to coordinate, schedule and conduct team meetings professionally.
  • Ability read and monitor performance metrics to support program goals.
  • Experience promoting process documentation, optimization, and automation.
  • Knowledge of Energy related technology.
  • Experience submitting or processing utility incentive or rebate programs.
  • Ability to escalate conflict situations.
  • Experience training and mentoring direct reports.
