TRC is seeking an experiencedCertified Industrial Hygienist / Project Manager to join our Exton, PA Office. This position would be working within our Building Sciences and Industrial Hygiene business within our Environmental Sector.
The position requires a strong technical background, project management skills and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships. The position will report to the Mid-Atlantic Region Practice Leader and will focus on assisting clients and growing the safety and health market in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Job Responsibilities:
- Industrial hygiene risk assessments.
- Indoor air quality and moisture and mold evaluations.
- Asbestos and lead based paint surveys.
- Safety and health audits related to OSHA and ISO requirements
- Development of written programs
Occupational safety and health management systems
- Perform project oversight and coordination.
- Manage client projects
- Client interaction and management.
- Attend pre-bid walkthroughs, prepare proposals and develop cost estimates.
- Prepare reports.
- Travel throughout PA, NJ, DE, MD and VA region is expected.
- Have strong communications skills both written and oral.
- 15 plus years of experience in the safety, , program development, and industrial hygiene is required.
- Must have a Certified (CIH) Minimum of a bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, science or engineering related field.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility to various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios.
- Intuitive and creative thinker. Understanding of their surroundings and reasons that services are being provided. A consultative demeanor and ability to work with customers / clients and ability to offer solutions when needed.
- Work as a team player.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
- Interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
- Intuitive and creative thinker. Understanding of their surroundings and reasons that services are being provided. A consultative demeanor and ability to work with customers / clients and ability to offer solutions when needed.
- Work as a team player.
- Ability to carry equipment such as ladders and air monitoring equipment up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
- Be able to wear a respirator, safety harness and other safety equipment as needed.
