RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pilot, dock and secure Spirit of the Water (vessel #D1083331) while abiding by Coast Guard safety standards and in compliance with the Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection
- Prepare Spirit of the Water for its annual Coast Guard inspection
- Train the crew on proper safety and emergency procedures in compliance with the Coast Guard
- Prepare, maintain and transmit records and reports to the General Manager
- Ensure that all normal and preventative maintenance is performed on Spirit of the Water
- Complete request for bids for supplies and parts
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 3 years riverboat pilot experience
- 2 years supervisory experience
- 100-Ton Master United States Merchant Marine Officer License
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to work fast and efficiently and complete multiple tasks under pressure
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
