What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Use Disorder Counselor/Case Manager position at Treatment Center of Panama City?
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, or an Associate’s Degree with a Florida recognized counseling certification. Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors are responsible for conducting intake process, including screening and reviewing all program rules and regulations. SUD Counselors will conduct psychosocial assessments at the beginning of Patient’s treatment and annually. SUD Counselors will work with Patients to develop individualized treatment plans and goals. SUD Counselors will meet with Patients on a regular basis as required by Treatment Center of Panama City and DCF standards, and document accordingly. SUD Counselors will be required to participate in monthly trainings, will receive supervision, and will actively work towards Substance Use Disorder Counseling certifications compliant with Florida Certification Board standards. Background screening and drug screening conducted at hire, annually, and at random.
