What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Sanitarian position at Tree Top?
$1,500 sign-on bonus paid through 30 days, 90 days and 6 months of employment. Competitive benefits available after 60 days of employment.
Grave shift hours: 11p-7:15a
SUMMARY: Responsible for sanitation tasks throughout the plant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This is a representative sample - not to imply a complete listing of all the job tasks.
- Be aware and report safety hazards and repairs as needed.
- Maintain GMP standards of plant perimeter.
- Remove debris and weed growth outside the building.
- Maintain landscaping as directed.
- Perform snow removal; maintain safe walk-ways.
- Utilize general mechanical and cleaning tools effectively.
- May need to provide coverage on other shifts when needed.
- Operate Forklift/Man Lift/Floor Scrubber
- Assist other outside forklift operators as assigned.
- Unload/load barrels and pallet trucks.
- Utilize Man Lift for overhead cleaning and painting.
- Operate equipment associated with the wastewater sludge drying/removal/disposal process.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 month related experience and/or training is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and the ability to speak effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Must be able to read warning labels; have color vision to sort product color coding; and depth perception to go up or down stairs and ladders.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places; in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
