Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements.
- Conducts recruitment efforts: coordinates approvals, writes and places advertisements, screens resumes, conducts initial interviews, schedules subsequent interviews, administers pre-employment tests, and extends offers. Proactively contacts candidates to keep them engaged, informed and organized.
- Plans and facilitates onboarding activities for new hires.
- Maintains relationships with staffing and recruitment agencies.
- Makes recommendations regarding discipline and termination. Conducts exit interviews as directed.
- Administers and maintains various activities designed to achieve and sustain a high level of employee morale.
- Promptly responds to employee issues, utilizing proper escalation when necessary.
- Serves as back-up to HRIS administration.
- Supports benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and employee communication as required.
- Assists with conducting investigations and providing coaching to supervisors regarding disciplinary actions.
Education and Experience:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent
- 3-5 years of HR experience
Desired
- HRIS systems experience (UltiPro preferred)
- PHR and/or SHRM certification
