Lead Production Operator

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team. The Production Operator will be responsible for setup, shutdown and in-process tasks per production procedures. Works closely with Shift Supervisor and executes appropriate Supervisory duties as a back-up when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Reviews production schedule for upcoming changeovers

· Supports work-center setup/startup and line clearance per procedures

· Performs set-up or in-process checks for scales used for production weight-counting

· Investigates and corrects physical or electronic count discrepancies

· Coach and train Operators on Quality System or manufacturing requirements

· Tracks and enters rejects during shift and at end of shift

· Supports production operators by assisting with packaging and labeling or covering breaks as-needed

· Runs production equipment when assigned.

· Monitors jobs in-process, collaboration with Quality to investigate issues

· Ensure proper labeling, physical and electronic moves of inventory including produced product or inventory components and packaging

· Dispositions daily production output, monitors for accuracy and completeness

· Other duties as assigned.

Education, Training, Skills and Experience Requirements:

· Preferred experience:

o Injection molding

o Medical Manufacturing

o Good Documentation Practices

o Cleanroom manufacturing

· Ability to read and understand work instructions and drawings

· Knowledge of how to use measuring tools i.e. rulers, calipers, scales, etc.

· Knowledge of ERP software.

· Knowledge of computer software i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Communicate professionally with operators as well as management.

· Forklift experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
