Job Title:

Cloud Security Architect – Public Sector

Role Overview:

The Public Sector Cloud Security Architect (PS-CSA) is a senior level individual contributor in our US Public Sector Business Unit. This role is a customer-facing position who works together with the strategist team, solution architects, multiple product teams, partners and key customers to collaboratively create and validate cloud security reference and solution architectures. Recognized as a trusted cloud security advisor for a vertical market or multiple cloud security domains. The PS-CSA will strategize with regional sales leaders and partner with the Public Sector account sales teams to build a successful sales and execution strategies across our top Public Sector accounts and help develop new prospective opportunities through cloud security advisory workshops, sharing industry insights, driving customer round tables, presentations and thought leadership at key events. The PS-CSA approach is consultative, value-based, solution-focused and business-led, sharing credible personal experience and best practices from experience. The PS-CSA will look to provide advice on our customer’s cloud journeys and how to maximize usability with security to achieve their business transformation objectives.

About The Role:

  • Own the solution sales activities within the sales process to gain the technical win and the customers’ trust
  • Participate in solution led sales calls and prospect visits, qualifying the customer’s requirements
  • Gather requirements, develop use cases, and fully understand the client's business needs and constraints
  • Provide exemplary technical expertise on customer product and solution demonstrations
  • Create unsolicited solution proposals and ensure it meets or exceed the customer’s requirements and is fit for the intended purpose
  • Ownership of the technical or solution response to RFIs/RFPs and orchestration of the virtual teams to help deliver a comprehensive consultative response
  • Present a solution proposal to the customer, demonstrate how we solve the customer’s requirements and how this aligns with the customers’ outcomes and differentiate from the competition
  • When required, lead the proof of value (POV) from engagement, ownership of all activities and orchestration, through to completion
  • Play a pro-active "Technical Account Management" role within your target accounts including building a trusted relationship, monitoring/managing customer issues in partnership with support, expand the existing footprint and drive competitive displacements
  • A mentor for SEs and a team player, sharing best practices, providing feedback to product
  • Technical account lead for Customer Executive Briefing events
  • Support customer beta activities and early adopter programs
  • Participate in the Global Presales Enablement program, through the delivery of formal classroom training
  • Adhere to corporate guidelines and compliance

About you:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines in security information CISSP Certification
  • Hold architecture or design certification such as TOGAF, SABSA, CISSP, CISM, CCIE Security, SANS or cloud architecture
  • Hold AWS or Azure professional cloud certifications or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5-7 years of previous SE, architect, technical management role
  • Experience with security architecture frameworks in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, Openstack, VMware, etc.) is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) best practices and guidelines
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP process
  • Generalized cloud security certifications such as CCSK or CCSP certifications are preferred
  • Specialized cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security, etc.
  • You must have extensive experience working with cloud security within a Public Sector vertical
  • Should have extensive knowledge of cloud architecture
  • Working financial acumen on spend, budgets, TCO, ROI, and speak to cost savings and value
  • Can own a project, manage matrixed teams, set own time management and project deadlines
