What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at TREO STAFFING LLC?
- Move material from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
- Sort and place material on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code
- Restock Material in assigned location; or fill requistios for material and distribute items to designated delivery trucks
- Stack or assemble material into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping, pick up or truck delivery
- Measure, cut, and package material
- Complete material movement paperwork
- Open boxes, crates, and other containers
- Examine stock for deterioration and defects, and report findings
- Assist in counting of physical inventory
- Inspect Raymond fork-lift daily for damages and report findings
- Load and operate Raymond fork-lifts; load trucks for next day deliveries
- Keep warehouse and work area organized at all times
- Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings
- Wear safety equipment at all times
- Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed
- Other Duties may be assigned to meet business needs
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy material up to 75 lbs
- This job requires: climb, crawl, and stoop to reach material; to reach overhead, above the shoulders or horizontally; bend at waist, kneel or crouch for extended periods of time
- Must know how to read a measure tape and have basic math skills
- Must have experience with hand tools including: Drills, Hammer, Saws
- Must have at least 2 yrs experience warehouse or assembly
- Must pass Criminal background check and Drug screen
