Summary: The Visitor Control will provide access control at the HELSTF site while maintaining a positive customer approach. Create and distribute work order requests to the employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A: Job Specific:
- Present all paperwork required in an accurate and timely manner.
- Interact with co-workers, other professionals, and all interested parties in a professional manner.
- Take direction, interact and maintain open communication with supervisor.
- Cooperate with supervisors, subordinates, and co-workers.
- Proficient in English oral and written communication skills.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Accurately maintain site access data base.
- Respond to hazardous alarms.
- Interpret HELSTF range schedule as it relates to site ingress egress to the main highway.
- Provide support to the HELST site during overlapping periods.
- Issue and maintain temporary badges for visitors entering HELSTF.
- Follow HELSTF government Access Control Procedures.
- Accept and implement special assignments from supervisor.
B. Company Specific:
- Adheres to dress code.
- Completes annual health, safety, and education requirements and demonstrate expected level of competency for each course completed.
- Reports to work on time as scheduled; stay awake and alert during work/training; adheres to policies regarding notification of absence.
- Attends all mandatory trainings and staff meetings.
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner by establishing and maintaining professional relationships that foster growth and development.
- Complies with all organizational policies and procedures, to include all ethical business practices.
- Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals of the company.
- Maintains current licensure/certification for position, if applicable.
- Consistently follows departmental and company Health, Safety, Security, Hazardous Materials policies and procedures (OSHA, SDS information, HIPAA, and Workers Compensation).
- Respect for diversity (cultural, ethnicity, ideas, etc.) and demonstrate ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Must carry work phone while on duty at all times; respond to phone calls, text messages, and emails in a timely manner.
- This position may require the employee to operate either a company owned or personal vehicle on behalf of the company; the company owned vehicle should always remain clean
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to work under stressful situations
- Ability to work independently, and in a team setting
- Bilingual skills are not required but are beneficial
Proficient computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (primarily Microsoft Word and excel) and Tresco databases.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School or GED and two years’ experience monitoring access to a secured site preferred
- Must Meet Ability One Requirements
- Ability to pass a Federal Background Check
Rate of Pay: $18.57
Hours: Full Time
