Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards for our manufacturing operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing new technologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design, develop, and implement innovative manufacturing processes, tools, and systems to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and provide input during the product development phase.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs for management decisions relating to Capital projects.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment functionality.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges, implement process changes, and drive continuous improvement projects.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing deviations, defects, and non-conformities.
- Evaluate, justify, and integrate new technologies, automation, and equipment to improve manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Train and mentor production personnel on new processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to achieve targets related to safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost, and
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance the manufacturing process.
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing / warehouse layouts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related technical field.
- Proven experience in mechanical, industrial, systems, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing fundamentals, materials, and processes.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and experience with manufacturing simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality management systems.
