Senior Cost & Reporting Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Cost & Reporting Analyst to help us maintain the financial characteristics of products in our ERP system (both from a cost and price perspective), to troubleshoot costing/pricing issues and to provide interpretation of the results from the costing system. As a Trex Senior Cost & Reporting Analyst, you will be looked to as an innovator and expected to support our growing operational analysis and reporting needs. This role is a key member of our Accounting & Finance team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a second cost accounting source for supporting marketing initiatives, that result in entering in bills of material and routers for new products, maintaining the inventory automated accounting instructions, troubleshooting issues with the cost system and interpreting the variances generated monthly by the cost accounting system, supporting the annual cost roll, and supporting projects associated with transaction changes in JDE (material consumption by work order – VADR campus and implementing work orders at the Railing Warehouse.
• Support Little Rock activities to include but not be limited too, actual investment and expense tracking versus budget, spare parts maintenance location setup and partnership with operations to ensure actual investment aligns with budget, supporting the setup of DMAII’s in JDE to support Little Rock startup, supporting the forecasting and budgeting needs, and lastly supporting ad hoc initiatives as needed.
• Serve as a secondary assistant controller by supporting analytical and reporting needs for plant controllers and/or absorbing actual, forecast, and budget responsibilities for various business units that produce raw materials for operations.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for leaders with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a cost or manufacturing accounting role. If you have proficiency with PC-based accounting packages (JD Edwards preferred) and intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, we want to hear from you.
