Summary
The role of an INDUCTION SET-UP OPERATOR requires a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge, manufacturing, and basic math skills. Premium skills such as experience with CNC programming are highly valued in this position. Knowledge of blueprint reading, hand tools, fabrication, and quality inspection will also be beneficial. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. This role involves setting up and operating equipment to produce high-quality products efficiently.
PERFORM ALL DUTIES REQUIRED TO AN INDUCTION OPERATOR. THESE DUTIES MAY INCLUDE FEEDING AND SETTING UP VARIOUS INDUCTION MACHINES AND OTHER MISC. EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING TEMPERING DRAWS, TESTING EQUIPMENT, CUT OFF SAW, ETC.
REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS CONCERNING THE MACHINES OPERATION IN ORDER TO PRODUCE A QUALITY PRODUCT. THIS WILL REQUIRE FOLLOWING AND HELP ESTABLISHING WRITTEN PROCEDURES FOR THE OPERATION OF ALL EQUIPMENT, EMERGENCY PROCEDURES, QUALITY PROCEDURES, ENSURING THE PROPER LOADING OF JOBS, AND FOLLOWING ALL SAFETY REGULATIONS.
REQUIRES THAT THE OPERATOR IS PROFICIENT AT SETTING UP ALL INDUCTION EQUIPMENT AND RESPONSIBLE FOR THE QUALITY OF THE WORK BEING RUN.
REQUIRES THAT A MINIMUM OF 75% PRODUCTION LEVEL IS MAINTAINED.
