Summary: Tool and Die Technicians support production by maintaining tooling, fixtures, and gauges through repairs, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvements.

  • Create, record, and close work orders using MP2
  • Operates all conventional tool room machinery such as milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, etc.
  • Perform first and last piece part inspection from tool tryouts and production in order to evaluate tooling performance for required specifications and make recommendations for alteration or repair
  • Use all tool room precision measuring equipment
  • Support new model/new business activities and development
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, etc.
  • Must follow all ISO 9001 procedures and report any nonconformance to procedures to your coordinator or management representative
  • Must follow all ISO 14001 procedures and report any nonconformance to procedures to your coordinator or management representative
  • Required to comply with all safety rules and programs including reporting all accidents immediately and wearing proper personal protective equipment in designated areas
  • Complete all assigned business plan objectives

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Tool & Die Technology
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to disassemble, clean or change components, and properly reassemble dies, jigs, fixtures and equipment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
