Role:
The Community Action Resource Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a robust partner network and working with TCCAP program staff to educate and promote program services.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
70% Cultivate relationships, provide information across diverse communities and connect people to resources and opportunities around housing, education, employment, weatherization, energy assistance, transportation, guardianship and other TCCAP programs. Ensure adherence to data collection requirements.
15% Participate in monthly community meetings to foster relationship building, collaboration and promote equitable services for people. This includes strengthening relationships with partners to improve working relationships.
10% Provide ongoing input, and information on new initiatives within communities, and how addressing improvements by working together to support programs strengthens communities.
5% Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by equipment vendors, or (4) job specific skills acquired through previous work experiences.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent computer skills and verbal skills. Must be comfortable speaking in public and with groups.
Physical Requirements Work Environment Work is performed in an office and meeting settings. Travel to meetings is required for this position.
