About the Position:
The IT Web Architect I provides technical design and strategy as it relates to the overall architecture of applications, infrastructure, and projects that support online, web, and mobile initiatives. Help identify research, create, standardize, optimize, promote, implement, and support strategies that enforce organization consistency to deliver business value for web technology. Analyze new and existing solutions that support a unified department vision of web technology. Work with various IT teams to promote a common and shared approach of technical best practices for consistency work reuse.
Position Responsibilities
- Full stack Java web development or systems administration automation/scripting experience Development design and review experience: development, database, infrastructure. Experience in web services development, design, and implementation Support development systems including source control, developer environments, and build automation Working knowledge of networking layers and protocols Familiarity with web and application server administration Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell usage, scripting, text editing Root problem investigation and analysis abilities Strong skill set in issue identification and problem solving Experience in performance monitoring and troubleshooting, ranging from end-user interaction to system infrastructure
- Ability to seek and identify areas for improving web, mobile, and online technologies. Technical ability to analyze, support, and implement effective online strategies Evaluating and improving developmental practices that align with industry standards Provide technical direction and mentorship to development staff. Rotates in 24/7 on-call schedule with other Architects to support critical Web infrastructure and participates in occasional scheduled overnight upgrades/installations All other duties as assigned (note: essential functions and responsibilities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice).
Position Qualifications
- Required Skills/Abilities (list any physical requirements if any):
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a closely related field, and 1-3 years of web application development experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong grasp of web technologies, including network layers, security protocols, database design, and object-oriented language familiarity.

Pay: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour
