PART-TIME WEEKEND Shipper/Picker/Order Puller (Saturday & Sunday)

POSITION TITLE: Shipper / Picker / Order Puller

REPORTS TO: E-Commerce Manager

Shipping Clerk works effectively and efficiently in a dispatch and warehouse environment to receive and schedule shipping and company operations, including developing a working knowledge of warehouse organization and creating proper and detailed shipping documentation. Works with shipping and warehouse team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Efficiently works within a busy dispatch department

• Packs and unpacks orders while maintaining department schedule

• Effectively uses organization systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stock

• Accurately updates spreadsheets and stock information

• Creates shipping labels and handles shipping information

• Communicates with other warehouse personnel about organization practices and picker technology

• Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items, and rush orders

• Liaises with warehouse overseers and managers about product ordering and storage

• Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues that pop up regularly; works to solve these administrative or organizational problems to increase warehouse and dispatch efficiency

• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

• Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business

• Good Attendance & Punctuality is a must to accomplish company goals

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

Work Environment:

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
