Our expanding location in Conroe, Texas is currently searching for a Director of Plumbing and Hardware to oversee a team of Home Improvement showroom product specialists across all our locations. This position may involve occasional overnight travel to existing locations alongside general business hour availability to provide support when required.

Duties Include:
- Inventory Management
- Maintain efficient stock levels for sales and committed orders
- Handle returns of damaged goods to the appropriate vendor
- Manage special orders that are not yet committed
- Supervise Stock Replenishments (SRs)
- Oversee discontinued inventory in the warehouse
- Sales Floors and Sales People Management
- Organize units for display and manage product discounts
- Address discontinued units on the sales floor
- Ensure rotation of dated display units
- Manage changes to existing displays, including costs of display props and installation with vendors
- Assist salespeople with queries regarding items that can be sold off the floor and pricing
- Internet Content Management
- Keep brands current across all online platforms
- Ensure beauty shots are up-to-date
• Review and maintain functional links on all platforms
• Manage all portal content
- Web Site Submission
- Inform managers about website submissions
- Follow up to obtain results
- Training
- Schedule in-store training sessions
- Arrange off-site training programs
- Evaluate suitable candidates for Appliance Specialist role
- Maintain Training Form within the Portal
- Training of the sales representatives
- Educate employees on the effective use of agility, portals, and vendor websites.
- Verify the accuracy of displays by conducting comprehensive checks.
- Collaborate with warehouses to ensure efficient transfer of ordered displays to the sales floor for each store.
- Continuously monitor tags and rectify any missing or incorrect ones through corporate channels.
- Adhere to established protocols when addressing any damaged units.
Skills and Experience needed:
- Over 5 years of hands-on management experience coupled with over 10 years of expertise in plumbing and hardware.
- Prior involvement in vendor negotiations is preferred, and having a background as a vendor representative would be a bonus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in all scenarios, offer constructive feedback, have difficult conversations and cultivate teamwork and mutual respect.
- Proficient in critical thinking and adept at creative problem-solving.
- Familiarity with standard office and point-of-sale software systems.
- Possesses exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills along with a strong customer service acumen.
- Capable of training and motivating team members effectively.
- Comfortable working independently or under supervision while exercising sound judgment for issue escalation.
