As a National Sales Manager, you will join our team on a journey to help eliminate barriers for patients, increase their access to medications, and help them receive lifesaving treatments while working in an environment that nurtures you.
Responsibilities
The National Sales Manager (NSM) is responsible for leading and directing teams of remote-based Pharmaceutical Specialty Representatives (PSRs). The PSRs execute outbound virtual engagement programs utilizing TrialCard technical tools and platforms to interact with health care professionals. The programs are focused on healthcare education, lead generation, disease awareness, and promotion of products.
Qualifications
Team Strategic Oversight
- Lead and coach a national team of Pharmaceutical Specialty Representatives (PSR) to promote pharmaceutical products to targeted healthcare providers, accounts, institutions and academic centers to achieve specific performance goals
- Attract, develop and retain individuals who will ensure high level of performance
- Provide training, coaching, follow-up and development of representatives
- Organize weekly one on ones and twice monthly team meetings
- With divisional colleagues, develop clear objectives, priorities and plans to drive meaningful account engagement by the PSRs
- Actively participate in client status meetings to foster stronger relationships, greater alignment and drive maximum value proposition
- Identify alternative scenarios (financial, staffing) to ensure achievement of objective
- Manage team expense budgets
- Coordinate all travel needs for the team
Team Administration
- Be an expert in all technical tools and platforms used by the PSR team; provide front-line user support and escalate as appropriate
- Monitor PSR team operations to ensure adherence to service level standards and company/department policies and procedures
- Collect, verify, approve and maintain timesheets/invoices from PSR to ensure accuracy
- Maintain metrics to ensure efficiency and adherence to contractual obligations
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize PSR generated data for the preparation and generation of reports
Divisional Responsibilities
- Provide reports to internal stakeholders and management to ensure accountability, visibility and trends
- Collaborate with upper management to recommend and implement necessary changes in processes, policies and procedures
- Communicate and lead internal discussions with divisional stakeholders regarding account developments, industry trends, and team progress
- Collaborate with VE Business Development team to leverage knowledge, skills and experiences for future client prospects
- Be fully accountable for compliance with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of their team activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or similar field
- Minimum 4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience managing pharmaceutical sales representatives
- Strong strategic agility, collaboration and teamwork required
- Strong inspiring and influencing skills required
- Solid understanding of technology
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office
- Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and train others; adept at coaching, motivating and retaining staff
- Strong oral and written language skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a professional manner
- Knowledge of reporting methodology, principles and procedures; ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports
- Ability to demonstrate and articulate creative thinking and a willingness to implement new approaches
