Trialco Aluminum is a high-quality secondary aluminum foundry located in Chicago Heights. With nearly 50 years of industry experience, Trialco is at the forefront of green manufacturing, specializing in producing clean, high quality aluminum alloys.

Trialco is going through an exciting period of growth and innovation and is seeking a Controller with prior experience in the manufacturing industry to join their team. The Controller directs and administers the accounting activities of the organization. The ideal candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment, be detail orientated, and have a high level of professionalism. Primary duties for this role and requirements are as follows:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the organization’s accounting-related functions including inventory, AP, AR, invoicing, purchasing, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Prepares financial statements, coordinates information with external accountants as needed, and compiles reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Develops and compiles reports for management in order to analyze key metrics and trends pertaining to the company's financial performance. Performs job costing analysis on manufacturing jobs as requested.
  • Maintains open order log with shipment dates, along with weekly sales and production forecasts.
  • Assist the plant and operations managers in tracking inventory, invoicing raw material suppliers, and processing all other operating expenses.
  • Applies cost accounting principles to accurately value and report all inventory.
  • Assists in the preparation of annual budgets and monitors departmental budgets throughout the year.
  • Reviews, tests, and recommends modifications to existing accounting practices, procedures, and internal controls, to increase efficiency and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Monitors compliance, controls, and company procedures to ensure compliance and decrease liability.
  • Participates in a wide variety of other projects and tasks as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a Master’s Degree and/or CPA is preferred.
  • At least five (5) year’s accounting experience and prior experience in manufacturing are required.
  • Must have strong background in cost accounting and analytical skills, including variance analysis and experience presenting financial data to members of senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to work well with employees at all levels of the organization, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, Accounting Information Systems, and ERP Systems is required.
  • Previous experience in the deployment of various enterprise systems, including executing upgrades and the evaluation of potential alternatives is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
