Duties:
- Assist attorneys in organizing and maintaining legal documents and files
- Prepare and proofread legal documents, pleadings
- Manage document management systems to ensure accurate and efficient retrieval of files
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and answering phone calls
- Perform data entry tasks to update case information and maintain accurate records
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Experience:
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of legal documents
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Strong clerical skills, including data entry
- Professional phone etiquette and communication skills
