Lifestyle Show Producer

The Great Day Colorado Producer will be the liaison and point-of-contact between the show’s staff and Sales Department. The producer will be responsible for managing multiple calendars, preparing the rundown, timing show, booking guests, and planning show content for paid and unpaid segments. Planning and organizational skills are a must. The successful candidate will have a professional, friendly, and problem-solving attitude. Duties include but not limited to: Organize, plan & maintain show content calendar, book guests, and schedule segments. Work and communicate with Sales to maintain relationships with paying clients. Deciding which segments, guests, and stories are of most interest to our audience. Determine and supervise the order in which segments and guests will be told and scheduled in broadcasts. Greet and assist guests during show preparations, putting them at ease on camera. Research show topics and segment ideas for guests. Balance feature elements and sponsored content to create a compelling show. Assign segments to MMJ Maintain a social media account and assist with all online content. Write and approve scripts. Time broadcasts and insure they are clean and correct on the air. Edit video for broadcast as well as online use when needed. Requirements & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, communications, or related field of equivalent combination of education and work experience. At least two years of experience producing broadcast news. Experience working in Bitcentral and ENPS. Organization skills are key - Ability to prioritize and schedule days in advance Deadline-driven and works well under pressure. Must be energetic, positive, and great in a team environment. A highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team. Creative thinker who isn’t afraid to try new ideas. Edit on Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects). Fluency in English with strong spelling, grammar, and excellent communication skills. Great attitude with the ability to operate professionally in changing environment. Other duties as assigned – flexibility and forward thinking are key.
