Marketing Project Manager — Contractor (1099)
Full-service marketing agency that provides strategic marketing and communications to a worldwide client base of technical and industrial businesses seeks an experienced and motivated Marketing Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis, working for one of our most prestigious clients. The responsibilities of the Marketing Project Manager will include: planning and overseeing marketing campaigns; delegating tasks to project team members; reporting on the status of projects; and ensuring marketing deliverables are completed on time and within budget. The right candidate for this position should have experience with product launches, content marketing, event marketing and[CE1] other marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities:
· Manage marketing projects and processes to ensure project planning, milestones, delivery and timelines stay on track
o Includes projects being managed globally
· Attend multiple, weekly rolling action item list (RAIL) calls with key client stakeholders and contributors
o Capture status on progress and impediments to success
· Attend monthly and weekly cross-functional team calls
o Capture status on progress and impediments to success
· Maintain master and project-specific views of major marketing initiatives within client-approved project management software
· Proactively report status and key activities to marketing management
· Anticipate schedule issues, resource constraints and other concerns; escalate issues to management as needed
· As able, offer recommendations for removing impediments
· Advise and assist client leadership on project management improvement opportunities and how to extend practices globally
· Collaborate and act as conduit to marketing agency associates to ensure work assignments and schedules are coordinated among internal client resources
· Manage Kanban boards as needed
Qualifications:
· 5–10 years of marketing project management experience required
· Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing or related field required
· Project management certification(s) preferred
· SAFE Agile certification a plus
· Kanban certification a plus
· Strong analytical skills
· Ability to multi-task
· Excellent organizational skills
· Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Status:
· 1099 contractor
· Part-time (estimated 20–25 hours per week)
· Assigned to single client
· Six-month contract with employer option to extend
· Remote flexibility upon completion of training
Compensation:
· Commensurate with experience and skill level
