JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The candidate selected for the Lead Material Handling Laborer will perform tasks that require management and physical abilities. You will be a solution-based leader managing a team of 10-20 staff members daily and responsible for processing time off approvals, timesheets, travel document management, direct reports (see below for details), and scheduling staff to complete job tasks. In addition, you will be responsible for (but are not limited to) providing general instruction(s) on repetitive assignments and specific guidance including written instructions on new operations or procedures to associated staff. In general, you will perform repetitive assignments such as transporting, shredding, document destruction loading & unloading, stocking & inventory, rotating, standing, lifting, etc.

POSITION TYPE & RATE INFORMATION

Full-Time
Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Range $20.00- $25.78, USD (DOE.)
 
ASSOCIATED JOB DUTIES (Including but not limited to)

• Lead/ support a team of 10-20 (number of staff subject to change)
• Planning & delegating work orders to ensure meeting given deadlines- *Work is expected to be performed per submitted work order requirements*.
• Act as a liaison for staff addressing all grievances & concerns with Tridant Management and the HR department to ensure open communication & compliance with our company policies.
• Confirm approval from the assigned government POC (Point of Contact) regarding all work orders are completed within contractual compliance
• Forms & document management
• Inform Tridant Program Management of upcoming expiring vehicle registrations. Ensure all registrations & insurance cards/ documents are maintained and current.
• Complete weekly, monthly, and annual vehicle inspections & scheduled maintenance as needed & maintain/ update all documents of inspections.
• Inform Tridant Program Management of any repairs, anticipated maintenance, and or issues with vehicles as soon as you are aware a problem or potential problem may exist.
• Request pre-approval of any travel/ usage of company/GOV-owned vehicles with Tridant Program Management
• Perform & record monthly safety meetings & training sessions with associated staff. This includes maintaining accurate documentation of all certifications, special access badge expiration dates, and staff DL information.
• Conducting weekly/ monthly warehouse inventory audits including data entry into the computer system (SIMS)
• Performs physical tasks to check out, transport, unload, or store materials or merchandise. This includes manually loading or unloading transporting devices, unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.
• Direct Reporting and Administrative Duties- This includes but is not limited to document management for all associated Lead Material handling Laborer duties, participation in weekly/ monthly management meetings with Tridant Management and Assigned GOV POCs, submitting weekly work summaries to Tridant Management, submitting & filing associated travel documentation for pre-approved team travel (TARs), approving associated staff timesheets, etc.
• Additional Lead Material Handling Laborer administrative duties as required or assigned.

 
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED- MUST HAVE SECRET CLEARANCE or the ability to obtain one.
• High School/GED-Required
• Advances applied knowledge of OSHA safety procedures- Required.
• Advanced (2 (two) years or more) knowledge and application of inventory and logistics operations in a warehouse setting including hands-on experience using warehouse machinery (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, etc.) Must be computer literate with inventory management database systems experience; Navy database is experience preferred.
• Intermediate (1 (one) year(s) or more) operating up to 5-ton capacity vehicles
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform associated work duties in both inside and outside settings and in all-weather types safely
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all associated certifications & or licenses required for the Lead Material Handling position
• Must maintain your driving record and license in positive standing & be insurable by the company as an employee of Tridant Solutions Inc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication are necessary.

Reporting To: Program Manager, Tridant Solutions Inc. Management
 
Work Schedule
Hours- 5:30 AM-3:00 PM
Days- Monday-Friday
*9-80 WORK SCHEDULE
*FLEX FRIDAY (OFF day) = Every other Friday/ Payday Friday

o The candidate(s) will be entitled to expenses reimbursed* (*=restrictions on reimbursement items may apply) by the Joint Travel Regulations/ JTR and reimbursed per the current GSA rate at the time of travel.
