JOB DESCRIPTION
As a competent medical/surgical nurse, it's important to be flexible about working conditions and to truly care about the extremely diverse needs of different patients. Your primary responsibility is to look after the needs of people with serious medical conditions, as well as those who are recovering from medical procedures. It can be challenging, but it's also incredibly rewarding to know that you're making a positive impact on someone's life during a difficult time. Patient care is a top priority, a Med/Surg nurse should have the ability to adapt to different situations and have the key components to remain calm under pressure.
Multiple positions available, Visa Candidates will be Considered
New hires may be eligible for a hiring bonus of up to $12,000 .
DUTIES
- Keeping organized and following patient care plans exactly.
- Administering medications and using medical equipment.
- Communicating clearly and honestly with people from all backgrounds.
- Keeping good records and maintaining patients’ charts.
- Using basic math skills adequate for dosage calculations.
- The ability to work as part of a team in a hospital or post-acute care setting or to work alone as a home visitor.
- Standing for long periods, lifting moderate weight, and working in environments where there may be infectious material.
- And other duties as required.
National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) certification- A valid nursing certificate, BSN, or MSN degree from an accredited college or university.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification. (Preferred)
- ANCC Medical-Surgical Nursing Board Certification. (Preferred not Required)
- A valid unencumbered RN license for the State.
- Current vaccinations and health clearance certification.
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Must have previous experience with starting IVs.
- Must have at least 12 months of relevant consecutive acute care experience in this specialty.
- High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients during stressful experiences.
- Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills
- The appropriate license to work in their state/county.
- Fluent in English.

- Spokane Washington Area
HOURS OF OPERATION
Day shift bonus eligible:
- 8 hour days, 20 hours per week
- 8 hour days, 24 hours per week
- 8 hour days, 28 hours per week
- 12 hour days, 36 hours per week
Evening shift bonus eligible:
- 8 hour days, 24 hours per week
- 8 hour days, 32 hours per week
- 8 hour days, 36 hours per week
Night shift bonus eligible:
- 8 hour days, 24 hours per week
- 8 hour days, 28 hours per week
- 8 hour days, 32 hours per week
- 12 hour days, 36 hours per week
Per Diem/On-call, Variable shifts may be available.
COMPENSATION
- $80,000-147,000 Annually
