Quality Assurance Technician

Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of materials in the manufacturing process. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this position is responsible for verifying the quality of incoming materials, preparing certification packages for outgoing products, and maintaining meticulous records for nuclear class materials.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate incoming material test reports to ensure conformity to specified requirements.
  • Evaluate laboratory test reports to verify compliance with prescribed standards.
  • Prepare Certified Material Test Reports for outgoing products, adhering to customer and specification guidelines.
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive files for nuclear job materials, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Address nonconformances by promptly escalating issues to the appropriate departments or personnel for resolution.
  • Coordinate marking requirements for the Marking/Shipping Department as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in clerical skills and computer literacy.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a clerical or quality assurance role is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control procedures is a plus.
