Position Summary

Trideum is seeking a high-performing and passionate college undergraduate seeking a degree in Applied Discrete Mathematics or Computer Science for a data science summer internship.

The selected candidate will work primarily in person at our office in Huntsville with the possibility of limited remote work and customer site visits. The person in this role will work under the guidance of senior engineers, software developers and data science professionals to assist in developing modernized test and evaluation (T&E) data solutions. This position allows the next generation of emerging data professionals experience with the tenants of data science as applied to test and evaluation under the guidance of industry leading senior T&E data solution providers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to learn and develop practical data science, software, communication, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills while working on challenging T&E data solutions as applied to interoperability of networked systems, autonomy and modeling and simulation. This intern role provides the opportunity to work on high-performing teams and develop industry valued data science technical skills.

What You’ll Do

• Develop pro-active problem-solving skills to assist in developing data storage, transport, tagging, tokenization, visualization and analytic solutions for test and evaluation
• Assist senior data science professionals and software developers
• Develop Python Application Programming Interfaces
• Learn and apply machine learning algorithms to large data sets
  • Assist in developing automated data pipelines
  • Gain an understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering and its application to data science
  • Assist in communicating data science solutions to senior data science professionals
• Travel – Very limited travel anticipated.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education and Experience: College Undergraduate freshman or higher working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Discrete Mathematics or Computer Science
• Desired Completed Coursework: Introduction to Computing, with exposure to Python
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
