Job Summary:
The Safety Administrator supports the operation of the Safety Team in the Centrum Valley Farm efforts to comply with Federal, State, Company, and other agency's regulations pertaining to providing our employees with a safe work environment in which to work. This support is provided through various duties as listed below but also with the timely information and decision-making data provided and steady work product that allows all team members to maximize their work efforts. All safety team members are expected to communicate and work together to provide the framework needed to accomplish our goal that: Every Centrum Valley employee goes home as healthy as they showed up for work.” The Safety Administrator will help develop safety policies and procedures, organize team meetings, solve safety issues, coordinate audits and inspections, track corrective actions and incident data, review important safety documents, and many other duties that require a high degree of attention to detail. The role of a safety administrator is one that is not to be taken lightly in the workplace. In our view, they are equal partners of a safety department’s team of safety professionals.

- Maintain individual rosters for active employees at each site or area
- Adding and removal of employees as employment changes
- Authorized Employee Training Sessions
- Prepare materials and documentation required
- Prepare Authorized Employee Cards for completed courses
- Weekly Safety Training
- Preparation of topics
- Completion of rosters for the weekly trainings (approx.. 40 per week)
- Document electronic filing by individual site or area for completed trainings
- Management of Weekly Trainings Tracking worksheets
- Employee injury Files
- Maintain files for all reported employee injuries
- Update files as medical records are submitted
- Workers Comp
- Maintain digital files for each incident reports
- Maintain medical records
- Submit to Workers Comp insurance / BWC information required to open claims
- Routinely be on periodic calls with worker comp management team to update information and process new requests
- Prepare return to work documentation / light duty documentation
- Coordinate light duty restrictions with site or area managers
- OSHA Recordkeeping
- Record all employee injuries that are recordable according to standards
- Maintain OSHA 300 Logs
- Complete OSHA 301 Logs
- Complete OSHA 300A logs at year end
- Dashboard Metrics
- Maintain worksheets for tracking Online Corrective Action Reports from all sites and areas
- Approx. 140 for Trillium at full compliance 95 for Centrum Valley per month
- Maintain worksheets for tracking Online Safety Execution Reports for all sites and areas
- Approx. 140 for Trillium at full compliance 95 for Centrum Valley per month
- Maintain payroll hours breakdown per site for OSHA Ratings on Dashboard
- Prepare and email monthly dashboards for each Farm
- Maintain worksheets for tracking Online Corrective Action Reports from all sites and areas
- Invoice preparation
- Prepare for purchasing invoices for professional services rendered
- Maintain closure for all invoices and purchase requests submitted.
- Monthly Training Sessions
- Prepare materials and documents needed.
- Email reminders for training sessions and maintain rosters for sessions
- Maintain training documents files by site
- Update and maintain employee training database
- Chemical labeling
- Create and maintain secondary container labels
- Print and distribute as needed to sites and areas
- Monthly Facility Audits
- Process audits completed by safety Coordinators into distribution reports
- Distribute to BUL’s and area managers for review and corrective actions
- Track audit corrective action completions
- Record metrics and prepare for dashboard
- Safety Incentives program
- Track sites and areas for completion to qualify for incentives
- Prepare distribution of incentives or notifications of qualifications for incentives
- Coordinate and track funds distributions and/or gift card distributions
qualifications:

- Education - An Associates Degree (2 year) or higher in Safety, Engineering or related technical field - Preferred
- Relevant Work Experience - Two (2) years experience or associates degree is Safety field - Preferred
- Communication Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. This position is required to speak effectively and efficiently with local management, Safety Team members, other departments personnel, and/or employees of the organization
- Computer Skills - Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs. Microsoft Excel is used extensively in this role
- Reasoning Ability - Use of basic reasoning, thinking "on your feet," and ability to resolve issues quickly with little or no direction from a superior. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, format. Good communication and engagement skills. Ability to make good judgments and render good decisions based on evaluation of the information you have been provided and processed
