As an NBIS Team Lead, you will be responsible for performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout. You will need experience in making and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, conducting field tests, and coordinating and managing lower-level inspection staff.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Making and checking engineering computations.
- Inspecting construction work activities.
- Preparing project documentation.
- Material sampling and testing.
- Verification of quality control.
- Coordinating and managing lower-level inspectors.
- Assisting with the preparation of the Final Estimate package.
- Interpreting plans and specifications for Contractors and discussing deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with construction regulations.
What you'll need
- 2 years performing NBIS Inspections as Team Leader in NC.
- Experience with NCDOT inspection manuals, procedures, and WIGINS system.
- FHWA-NHI Course 130055 – “Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges”
- FHWA-NHI Course 130053A – “Bridge Inspection Refresher Training”
- CTQP Final Estimates Level II
- Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
- Position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week. (Salary)
KSA’s:
- Receives general instructions regarding assignments and is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.
- Directs and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction project.
- Will be responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.
