Elementary Education Teacher

Trinity Christian Academy is seeking a born-again Christian that is vigorous in faith, and a master teacher to serve in our elementary school. This teacher will serve as a Champion for Christ by training, preparing, and equipping students with an excellent Christian education for world change. The position commences in August of the new school year 2023-2024.

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach classes as assigned, providing effective and professional classroom instruction, assessment, and management.
• Design and implement curriculum and instruction following the year plan format provided by TCA.
• Timely and professional completion of required reports, tasks, duties (e.g., lesson plans, grades, correspondence with parents and students, examinations and quizzes, attendance, etc.).
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and on enhancing instructional practices and strategies.
• Apply principles of Biblical Christian faith integration to each subject area at the grade level you are teaching.
• A proven classroom manager who follows clear procedures for each activity, while balancing grace with accountability.
• You are responsible for all students in your care during class on campus or off campus.
• You are to maintain school policies, regulations, and expectations.
• You are required to show support for the Head of School and administrative leadership team.
• You are required to participate in in-service workshops, meetings, sessions, and all other teacher defined activities, as well as other areas of school life.
• Represent the school at community or public events in the highest ethical Godly manner.
• Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of School.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Knowledgeable of the essentials of the Christian faith in terms of the spiritual, academic, and social outcomes that are grade level appropriate.
• Must show a vigorous Christian faith and be exemplary of a role model for students to emulate.
• Must display a Christ-like attitude when relating with faculty, staff, parents, students, and others.
• Must demonstrate a high level of trust.
• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate well, both verbally and written.
• Be willing to collaborate while at the same time take Christian leadership initiatives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from an accredited university or college.
• A minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
• A track record of exemplary classroom teaching.
• A list of outstanding school accomplishments that show student mastery.
• Experienced with using technology in a classroom environment.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
