Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, one of the largest health systems in the Delaware Valley is recruiting for a physician assistant to join our employed Gastroenterology medical group and practice located on the Fitzgerald Campus of Mercy Catholic Medical Center.- Outpatient Practice Monday – Friday
- Three full time Gastroenterologist and Physician Assistant
- Hospital consult service
- On call responsibility (1 evening / week 1 weekend/ month)
Clinical Responsibilities
- Performs a physical examination using techniques of observation, inspection, auscultation, percussion, and palpation.
- In accordance with applicable scope of licensure and established standards diagnose and treat patients for a variety of GI conditions including abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, dysphagia, constipation, diarrhea, GI bleeding, elevated liver enzymes and other GI complaints.
- Conducting inpatient consultations, emergency room consultations and patient appointments and consultations in an office setting attending to scheduled, and where required, unscheduled outpatients.
- Consults with physician, as appropriate, based on information obtained from patient's history, physical exam, lab and testing results.
- Communicates with patient all results of testing and lab as per Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Policy.
- Manage and facilitate procedure schedule with the Endoscopy Service.
Requirements:
- Graduate from Accredited Program
- Board Certified in specialty
- License to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
- Prescriptive Authority
- DEA
