Hospitality aide provides assistance, direction, and other guest services to all patients and visitors. Responds to requests for customer service and maintains a positive public image as an initial point of contact for customers

What you will do:

  • Receives and greets patients, patient’s families and significant others in a friendly and helpful manner and provides general information and facilitating their access and use of the hospital appropriate by hospital policy and procedures.
  • Performs valet services of parking, retrieving, and delivering customer vehicles.
  • Escort patients and visitors to the appropriate location in the hospital
  • Ensures a clean and safe working area by keeping the area neat and free of debris, snow, litter, or any other hazards.
  • Recognizes and communicates issues/occurrences utilizing established lines of authority and assists in identifying ways to resolve variances or unacceptable outcomes.
  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the MercyOne and Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, MercyOne and Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information pertaining to patients, physicians, employees, and MercyOne business.

What we are looking for:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent Preferred
  • Valid Driver's license with motor vehicle record that meets requirements of Safe Driver Policy
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and effectively work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must have a general working knowledge of computers and department specific software (i.e., Healthstream, internet, etc.)
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
