The Maintenance Porter position assists with the cleaning and maintenance of each parking facility and surface lot. This position is essential to the exterior part of the campus to recognize and resolve any cleanliness or maintenance issues on each campus, including enforcement, and coverage of shuttles.Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed by Parking Leadership to ensure that all dirt, dust, litter, and debris is removed from all areas of the decks and surface lots.
• Walk the decks and lots daily to note maintenance issues and submit work orders.
• Assist with the cleanliness of the entrances by utilizing brooms, mops, riding equipment, and any sanitizing supplies provided by the department.
• Assist with troubleshooting all parking equipment
• Keep an inventory of supplies and maintain a garage/lot cleaning log.
• Maintain regulatory compliance within the garages and lots and report any violations immediately to Parking Leadership.
• Report any unknown, observed, or suspected violations of department policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrence to Parking Leadership in a timely matter.
• Assist colleagues, visitors, patients, and faculty with any parking needs.
• Any other duties assigned by the Regional Manager of Parking Services
