Manages and coordinates the long-term capital strategy and capital budgeting functions within Trinity Health. Maintains and refines multi-year capital framework. Manages annual system-wide capital budget process, including competitive pool review and prioritization. Reviews and assists in development of financial aspects of RHM capital project requests.- Coordinates the development of Trinity Health’s multi-year capital framework to identify total available capital capacity.
- Identifies long-term capital needs for the system at the corporate, subsidiary and local entity level.
- Manages and coordinates the development of the Trinity Health annual system-wide capital budget. In doing so, schedules, organizes, and implements the capital budget planning process, including the preparation of guidelines and worksheets for the system at the corporate, subsidiary and local entity level.
- Manages annual Competitive Pool process, including guidelines, project review and prioritization by the senior management capital review team. Manages, maintains and coordinates the use of Syntellis capital planning and tracking tools throughout Trinity Health. Works collaboratively with TIS and Syntellis staff in support of Trinity Health operating entities including education, implementation and upgrading of the tools.
- Provides support and independent system office finance review of major proposed RHM capital projects and provides recommendations to Trinity Health Leadership. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve capital budgeting processes to increase value at the RHM and system level.
- Manages RHM quarterly capital spending reporting and post implementation "Look Back" reporting. Provides extensive interaction with RHM CFOs, Controllers and Financial Planning Directors and staff relative to capital budgeting and project review.
- Provides support to Trinity Health senior management by coordinating special assignments as directed by senior management.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health Corporate Integrity Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.Must have a broad based knowledge of both accounting and management practice and principles, capital budgeting and capital expenditure analysis normally obtained through Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and between five and seven years work experience in healthcare finance.
2.Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Certification as a Certified Public Accounting preferred.
3.Must possess exceptional analytical abilities including knowledge and prior use and application of sophisticated analytical modeling techniques.
4.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
5.Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
6.Must have a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Trinity Health
