Occupational Therapy Assistant-Part-Time-ALS Center

St. Peter’s ALS Center has a rewarding and unique opportunity for a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team!

What you will do:

• Key responsibilities include coordination of our medical equipment which is loaned/leased to patients/families including communication equipment, power wheelchairs and patient lifts.

• Process equipment consents and agreements, loaning, tracking inventory, maintenance repairs, disinfection equipment policies. Smaller equipment loaned is taken home by patients/families when visiting the team at our clinic.

• Coordinate deliveries of larger equipment by our volunteers.

• Assist ALS patients and families at the ALS Center along with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary team.

• Assist our PT/OT with prepping equipment and provide instruction/training to patients and families as a backup to our OT.

• Work with Clinical Engineering and vendors on equipment repairs, preventative maintenance programs .

What you will need:

• NYS OTA Licensure
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with adult and/or geriatric population
• Excellent customer service and organizationalskills
