- This is a Full-Time position Monday - Friday on the day shift with excellent benefits! Benefits start your first day of employment!
- We are looking for individuals with excellent customer service skills to work over the phones with patients. Working knowledge of medical terminology and registration/insurance verification is highly preferred.
- Interview patients prior to or on first office visit to verify demographic and financial information
- Follow medical group and hospital policies and procedures.
- Schedule/reschedule patient appointments as required.
- Obtain necessary HMO/PPO referral authorizations.
- Obtain authorization from insurance plan for referrals to Specialists, as directed by our Primary Care Physician.
- Answer phone calls in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited school or equivalent
Experience & Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT & ICD-10 codes and all insurance preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Previous experience in medical office setting preferred
- Excellent computer skills including typing dictations, Powerpoint, Excel and Word
- Able to multitask and take initiative
