Perform x-rays for diagnostic purposes at the Outpatient Surgery Center and Livonia Medical Center. Follow established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.JOB SUMMARY
- Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
- Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic procedures.
- Performs a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated areas of the body.
- Assists in daily departmental activities when not performing radiologic procedures
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Registered by the ARRT
- BLS Certification
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Maintains 24 CEU’s in a two year period.
