Mercy Home Health Care has a need for a Full-time Social Worker for the greater Philadelphia Area.
The Medical Social Worker is responsible for the provision of consultation and service to homebound individuals in the need of assistance with the solution of complex social and emotional problems, which impede management of medical regimen.
Master's Degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Currently licensed to practice as a Medical Social Worker as applicable for intended state regulations.
- Post position offer, an employment physical examination indicating physical ability to perform the occupational expectations of the position.
- Ability to complete written, verbal, and observational tasks indigenous to the position.
- Ability to maintain and project a mature, professional and courteous demeanor to patient, families, staff health care professionals and external constituents.
- Ability to provide service to acutely and chronically ill patients
- Ability and commitment to maintain confidentially of patient, organizational and related information.
