Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Christian education, a deep understanding of child development, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. This teacher will be responsible for implementing and assessing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with educational standards and our Christian faith.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive lessons in core subjects (Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies) that align with school curriculum and standards.
- Integrate faith and values into daily instruction and activities.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to promote student engagement and positive behavior.
- Monitor and support the social and emotional well-being of all students.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Assess and document student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic performance and behavior.
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted support where needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to build strong partnerships and support student learning.
Faith Integration:
- Lead daily devotions and incorporate prayer into the classroom routine.
- Model Christian values and behavior in interactions with students, colleagues, and the community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification/license in Wisconsin
- Prior experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably in a Lutheran or other faith-based school. (Student teaching experience is acceptable.)
- Strong commitment to Christian education and the mission of the school-"Making Known the Love of Christ."
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,034.00 - $44,604.00 per year
