Fund Accountant

Position Overview:

TripleTree is seeking a Fund Accountant to join the finance and accounting team. The candidate will perform diverse accounting tasks across both the investment bank and the principal investing business. In this role the candidate will have an opportunity to support both businesses providing variety and a unique opportunity to learn the comprehensive business platform. The work will involve day-to day accounting in support of firmwide accounting functions, internal and external reporting, administration and other back office activities for TT Capital Partners (registered investment adviser), the private fund entities managed by TT Capital Partners including flagship private equity funds, new funds and other fund SPV’s (single-purpose vehicles) as well as TripleTree (registered broker-dealer).  This is a newly created position established to support the firm’s rapid growth.

Responsibilities:

 Private Equity Fund Accounting (70%):

• Prepare and post accounting entries, allocate partnership income and expenses, and carry out quarterly close procedures for Fund entities
• Produce financial and investor reporting deliverables including capital calls, distribution notices, quarterly reports and financial statements
• Manage access to and documents published on the investor portal and other data rooms
• Manage transmittance and safekeeping of investments, including monthly custodian reconciliations
• Manage collection of investor subscription books and track contributions
• Calculate and forecast quarterly management fees and partnership expenses
• Maintain financial recordkeeping for all single-purpose entities and year-end capital account allocations in support of Schedule K-1 and tax return processes
• Perform other fund accounting, investor reporting and administrative duties as assigned

Corporate Accounting (30%):

• Process accounts payable; prepare and post other accounting entries
• Record banking transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Record expense allocation and inter-company transactions
• Prepare invoices and monitor timely payment 
• Review T&E reporting and associated bill-backs (experience with Certify software desired, but not required)
• Support vendor and contract management and prepare 1099s
• Assist with annual audit and tax filings, including sales and use tax filings
• Prepare monthly credit card reconciliation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Comfortable in a highly professional, fast-paced environment
• Accurate, organized and with a strong attention to detail required
• Independent, analytical and developed problem-solving skillset
• Deep working knowledge of Excel combined with strong systems acumen
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Effective, confident communicator with developed interpersonal skills
• High level of discretion and ability to maintain a strict degree of confidentiality
