Position Overview: CMM Programmer
Responsibilities:
Inspect parts and assemblies using precision measuring instruments, including a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), to determine conformance to product specifications and aerospace standards.
Interpret technical documents and develop a dimensional inspection plan, including a software program.
Perform First Article Inspection per AS9102.
Complete required documentation of inspection results.
Maintain inspection and measuring equipment, including calibration of styli.
Maintain a clean work environment and comply with safety requirements.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
At least 1-year experience with dimensional inspection, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and the operation of a CMM.
Experience using standard measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, etc.
Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel)
Knowledge of Zeiss Calypso software
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently but function as a team player.
Beneficial Qualifications:
Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M, “Dimensioning and Tolerancing”.
Working knowledge of CAD software, for example Hypermil
Experience working in a manufacturing company with an ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality system.
Knowledge of FAIRS and aerospace quality conformity requirements.
Experience using ERP software such E2 Shop Tech.
Experience using inspection software such as Discus, Transmagic, Di Web Reporting or equivalent.
Experience working with a manufacturing team to develop new processes.
