What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Designer position at TRIPP?

We’re looking for a Game Designer to help create accessible, engaging, fun AR, VR, and mobile AR experiences. You will work with a cross-functional game team to help craft dynamic and exciting gameplay that delights our players. We seek passionate technological innovators that find purpose in our mission to support people and help them find greater agency over how they feel over time. Most importantly, we would like to find individuals willing to make a substantial contribution to TRIPP’s unique approach to positively impacting wellness around the world. All positions are fully remote with flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, test, and tune gameplay balance throughout the product life-cycle.

  • Create and run global live events and new game content.

  • Collaboratively identify and implement new ways to use content to keep the game fresh and interesting for players.

  • Deliver clear and concise engineering-ready product specs.

  • Communicate game system concepts, implementation processes, risks, and interactions.

  • Find opportunities for and ideate on new game systems, content, and feature improvements.

Primary Requirements:

  • Expertise with spreadsheets and in manipulating, summarizing, and maintaining large data sets.

  • Experience with game balance, progression, and pacing.

  • Proficiency in Unity game development.

  • Passion for video games; an avid gamer with a solid understanding of mobile games.

  • 2 years designing and running content for a live game.

And it would be great if you:

  • Have experience with gameplay tools.

  • Have experience with Adobe products or other image editing software.

  • Have experience with AR games or features.

  • Have experience with world-building and narrative writing.

  • Are passionate about XR, VR, AR, and the potential of technology for good

  • Are interested in meditation, personal development, and mental wellness

  • Have prior experience working in a fast-paced, ever-changing, start-up environment
