What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shelter Manager/Director position at TriSource?
TriSource is looking to fill the role of a Director for a homeless shelter in Loudoun County! If you have experience with the homeless population and are great at managing staff, this role might be perfect for you!
The Director will oversee the day-to-day operations (to include service delivery, program development, and facility maintenance) of the homeless services center. The homeless service center provides the following programs:
- Emergency Shelter Program (families and single individuals)
- Hypothermia Shelter (single individuals)
- Drop-In Day Program (single individuals)
Working as part of the Leadership Team, the Director is responsible for developing strategies to accomplish organizational and program goals in accordance with agency values and guiding philosophies. The Director is responsible for ensuring that best practices are implemented and maintained according to program type. The Director will collaborate closely with Loudoun County Government and local non-profit providers serving households experiencing or at risk of homelessness to ensure continual progress toward preventing and ending homelessness in Loudoun County.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
● Provide leadership, direction, and oversight of the Homeless Services Center including the Emergency Shelter Program, the seasonal Hypothermia program and the Drop-In Day Program
● Actively participate in meetings to promote interagency collaboration and continual progress toward preventing and ending homelessness in the county; adapt and improve programs serving households in Loudoun County to meet the changing needs of the population and community.
● Provide direct supervision to the Assistant Director of Programs (ADP), Assistant Director of Operations (ADO), Data Quality Specialist, and Community Coordinator. Ensure coverage of all essential duties of each position in the staff member’s absence/position vacancy. Supervise interns as needed.
● Ensure regular client feedback is gathered. Our programs exist to support our clients and their input into our programs and processes is valuable. This feedback should be used to inform program changes and improvements as well as to evaluate the program.
Qualifications:
● A master’s degree in human services/ related field or commensurate experience
● Minimum 3 years of program and staff management
● Valid Driver’s License
● Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Must be covid vaccinated.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
