This is an overnight position with a 7 on/7 off schedule. This position is 1 of 2 pharmacists scheduled on 3rd shift with oversight of pharmacy clinical and operations responsibilities for the facility.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• The pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care activities to ensure safe and effective drug therapy through the provision of pharmacy services.

• Prepare and take inventory of IV medications.
• Responsible for procurement, preparation, delivery, return, and restocking of medications to include but not limited to filling and delivering oral medications, compounding parenteral medications, filling automated dispensing cabinets, filling code cart trays and pharmacy kits, restocking returned medications prior to the end of each shift, and assisting with putting away pharmacy orders.
• Assist with daily department operations.
• Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Provides patient care activities to ensure safe and effective drug therapy through the provision of clinical services.
• Coordinates, oversees, and assists in the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services.
• Provides monitoring and intervention in therapeutics to provide cost effective care with optimum outcomes.

What qualifications you will need:

• Licensed Tennessee Pharmacist.
• One (1) year hospital experience PREFERRED
• Excellent communications skills and good computer skills
