Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Facilities Mgmt directs the operations of the Plant Operations and Security Departments. Responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, building and other hospital related facilities. The position plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs.

What you will do in this role:

• You will be responsible for regulatory compliance involving Plant Operations and Security with The Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA, State and Local Regulations.
• You role reviews and recommends approval of plan for construction.
• You will be a liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and equipment suppliers.
• You will prepare or approve departmental budgets submitted to the CEO.
• You will approve orders for equipment, including Capital Expenditures and coordinates construction budgeting: Capital Expenditures for other departments.
• Your role administers the Preventive Maintenance Program and will approve contracted work.
• You will accompany appropriate State and local authorities inspecting buildings and utility systems.
• You will be responsible for departmental staff matters pertaining to the equipment, training, termination and grievances of employees.
• You will be an active member in committees involving The Joint Commission and CMS accreditation process: EOC, Emergency Management, Infection Control and Behavioral Health.
• You will be responsible for Life Safety equipment and inspection compliance.
• You will also participate in the development and enforcement of departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred, Degree in Industrial Technology preferred
• Current Driver’s License with clean driving record, CPI (within 30 days of hire).
• Five-years in management of a maintenance program in a hospital or commercial/industrial setting. Construction background is preferred.
