TRISTAR is seeking a Engineering Technician VI for our government customer in Crane, IN
Position Description:
- Journey technician with ability to perform non-routine and complex assignments. Specific tasks will include troubleshooting/removal/installation of SLQ-59 shipboard systems
- May also support off-board countermeasure systems to include AOEW and MK-59
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, construct, and support devices/equipment as needed to test/troubleshoot multiple DOD Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) systems
- Support ship removal/installs/training as necessary to ensure ECM systems periodicities are met
- Analyze test data related to Electronic Warfare (EW) RF specification parameters
- Review performance specification/performance requirements to ensure current processes are relevant
- Update performance specifications as necessary to meet ever-changing requirements
- Review current hardware for improvements and offer enhancement concepts to hardware as needed
Position Requirements:
- 3 years' experience
- Ability to travel for installs/diagnostics/repair in support of SLQ-59/AOEW/MK-59 systems, subsystems, and components
- MUST be a US Citizen
- Must have active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical certificate or two years equivalent experience
