What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk - Treasury Department position at Triumph Financial?
Position Summary: The Treasury Analyst will apply and post receipts daily, resolve debtor payment issues with Account Executives, fund all clients as requested, and retain proper documentation for audit purposes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Daily Cash Receipts Applications will include, but not limited to, the following:
Accuracy of cash receipts applications and postings
Timeliness of cash receipts applications and postings
Work with Debtors and/or Account Executives to resolve issues with payments
Assist in resolution of unapplied cash and open credits
Provide Treasury Manager with Cash Posting reports for balancing
Daily reporting will include, but not limited to, the following:
As back up to Treasury Manager, accuracy and timeliness of Wire Transfers, ACH's, TChek, Moneycodes & Fuel Card loads.
Run wire/ACH reports daily and file with Wire/ACH requests
Print checks multiple times per day.
Retain, file and label financial records accurately, within department guidelines.
Respond to audit requests as required.
Assist Treasury Manager and VP Treasurer with other duties as required.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree is preferred. Will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
1 to 2 years of previous accounting or treasury experience is strongly preferred.
Data entry experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
Freight, transportation or general factoring, or logistics industry experience is preferred.
Skills & Abilities Required
Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel (intermediate competency level).
Strong verbal and written communication skills; competent command of English language (bilingual English/Spanish a plus).
Exceptional attention to detail skills and abilities required to succeed in this position.
10-key skills required.
Well organized, analytical, and must possess independent reasoning skills.
Ability to work alone or as a member of a team.
Ability to understand and follow instructions given by supervisor(s).
